Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) intimated that a cyclonic circulation has formed over south Andaman Sea and extends up to mid-tropospheric levels titling south-westwards with height. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours. It is likely to move west-north-westwards and intensify into a depression over central and adjoining south Bay of Bengal around 16 November 2023.
